I made one in college, and it was so strong that you could walk into the room it was in with a flourescent lightbulb in your hand and it would light up while your hair stood on end, but it also ionizes all the oxygen molecules in the air, and by attaching charged particles to them they become heavy and drop to the floor, leaving the air smelling like bleach and eventually unbreathable. Pretty amazing stuff. That is only because it was in a small room. |

As long as the laws of physics remain, as in "energy can not be created nor destroyed," energy will never be free. Tesla coils are receivers, not generators. Tesla coils need a power source that transmits energy. Power sources cost money. Parts cost money. Creation and upkeep cost money. It would all even out to what we're paying now, and wireless internet prices would just go up. |
